Pharmacy Technician Programme
The Pharmacy Technician Programme is designed to allow participants to establish a standard of care that will permit them to work efficiently in a variety of clinical settings including hospitals and other pharmacies in The Bahamas.

Home Health Aide/ Home Care (HHA)
The Home Health Aide (HHA) Certificate Programme prepares individuals to provide care to home-based clients and the elderly. They learn how to assist patients with bathing, eating, dressing and other activities necessary for daily living. Home Health Aide/Assistant, work under the guidance of the patient’s doctor, nurse or family member.
The Home Health Aide Programme comprises the following modules:
- Basic English
- Nutrition
- Introduction to Medical Terminology
- Introduction to Anatomy & Physiology
- Vital Signs
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Workshops: Common Diseases in The Bahamas and Law, Ethics and Confidentiality

Medical Assistant (Administrative)
Students will be educated on the knowledge of Medical Assisting by giving them a brief history of medical assistants and the training required to operate in this field. The module further aims to ensure that students are cognizant of the roles, responsibilities, administrative and selected clinical competencies of a well-trained Administrative Medical Assistant or A Clinical Medical Assistant.

Medical Coding & Billing Course
This course is a basic guide to correct coding and billing for health care organizations. Areas covered include:
- Proper application of ICD-10-CM (International Classification of Diseases 10th Revision Clinical Modification)
- CPT (Current Procedural Terminology)
- HCPCS Level II (Healthcare Procedural Coding System)
- International; Medical Codes
Start Date: Winter Semester
Duration: 10 Weeks
Medical Terminology / Anatomy & Physiology (Every Semester)
- Medical Terminology: This course will empower the participant to communicate at basic level about medical disorders, disease processes, surgical procedures, and treatments.
- Anatomy & Physiology: This course exposes students to anatomy (the study of the structure), the physiology (the study of the function of the human body). Topics covered include Terminology for Anatomy and Physiology; Cells to Body Systems; Skeletal and Muscular Systems; Eyes and Ears; Respiratory, Cardiovascular, Lymphatic, Immune, Digestive, Urinary, Nervous, Integumentary, Endocrine and Reproductive Systems.

Certified Medical Coding and Billing Specialists (CBCS)
The Certified Billing and Coding Specialists (CBCS) Certification from National Health career Association (NHA) is an American accredited Programme designed to provide a clear path to the Medical Billing and Coding Profession.
The CBCS Certification covers the following:
- Revenue Cycle
- Payment Adjudication
- Coding and Billing
- Billing and Reimbursement

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS Certification)
The Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) course equips participants with essential skills to handle life-threatening emergencies, provide high quality chest compression, deliver appropriate ventilations, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) effectively.
